hi all car failed its mot today on

offside front track rod end ball joint

offside front suspension arm rubber bush

this may be a very silly question

but if i buy a new front suspension arm

does this have the track rod end ball joint on it

hope it makes sense

The front suspension arm - has the rubber bushes mounted in it when you buy but the track rod end is a seperate part.

You can buy the bush seperately e.g. here -note they call the suspension arm a "control arm". You might need special tools to replace the bush though.

 

You can see a trackrod end here (they call it a tie rod)

 

You can get these items at GSF and many other places quite cheap.

 

You must have your wheels retracked after changing these items. (Use someone with good quality laser tracking equipment)

hi if i was to change the whole arm not just bushes is it a easy job to do and would i need any special tools
